2/1/2024 0 Comments The talos principle ps4![]() Getting all the stars requires much effort, but it is required to unlock the last ending. Often they are placed beyond the levels with the sigils, but sometimes you must do specific actions in the level to get the star that is hidden outside it. The Talos Principle may seem derivative at first glance, but this first-person puzzler manages to stand out. Stars can be found behind closed doors, hidden passages, in places hard to get to. The story and characters are also great, a bit more serious than Portal but with a nice dash of humour. The Talos Principle: Deluxe Edition (PS4) 7.64 Review 9/10 Profile. A philosophical puzzle game in first person of Croteam the creators of the Serious Sam series in which players take on the role of a sentient artificial. In terms of the genre/gameplay Portal 2 is the obvious comparison, as an overall package I don't know where I'd place The Talos Principle relative to Portal 2, but as a puzzle game specifically, TTP wins by a mile, with consistently challenging and interesting puzzle design across all of the numerous sigils and stars you need to collect. ![]() It's definitely worth the price of admission. The strong, heady philosophical focus isn't as integrated into the puzzles as it initially suggested, but for those of you who like to flex. Sadly, some performance issues hold this back from being truly a great fit. Its practically tailor-made for Nintendos console. One of the best games of last year, if it wasn't released right at the end of the year (and as a PC exclusive) it would probably have been on quite a few GOTY lists.Īs for the length, there are just under 140 puzzles (including the optional star puzzles that often require extremely clever solutions) and my total play time was ~30 hours for 100% completion (without finding all of the (many) Easter eggs and shamefully using a guide for two of the star puzzles that I just couldn't manage to figure out). The Talos Principle is a good world to get lost in. Talos is a methodical, laid back puzzle game that can be played in quick bursts and doesnt require pristine performance or precision.
